Nina B Shapiro

Nina B Shapiro

Nina Shapiro has had over 30 years of broad global experience in international finance and business development. She held senior leadership and operating positions at the World Bank and its private sector arm, the International Finance Corporation, including as VP Finance and Treasurer of the IFC and Director of World Bank’s Project Finance and Guarantee Department. Working extensively with senior government and banking officials and the private sector, she helped to develop infrastructure and finance companies and to open domestic markets such as China, Brazil and the UAE. In 2010, Ms. Shapiro received the Euroweek Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to the Capital Markets.

Dermot Mayes

Dermot Mayes


Dermot started his banking career at JP Morgan in 1995 on the Emerging Market desk. He then moved to Swiss Bank Corporation, where he became responsible for Emerging Markets fixed income. Subsequent to this, he joined Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as Global Head of Emerging Markets.

In 2003, Dermot moved to Hong Kong to become Managing Director for Nomura International, Head of Syndicate for Asia ex Japan.

Kanat started his career in 1998 at the National Securities Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Head of Analysis and Strategy Division. In 2002 Kanat moved to National Bank of Kazakhstan to manage the oil funds and foreign exchange reserves.

He was recruited by Nomura in 2004 where he rose to Managing Director for Emerging Market Sales in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia. He then moved to Mint Partners in 2016 as a Director of fixed income sales.



Emerging and Frontier Market Broking

•We are regulated by the FCA to arrange and advise under IFPRU50.

•We trade fixed income and equity in Emerging and Frontier Markets.

•We have agreements in place with brokerages to clear and settle through Euroclear.
